About This Project

Shaped Sanctuary
This unique kitchen is the result of an unusual opportunity for Copperleaf Design to design and build a wow-factor kitchen for a single man. The stunning kitchen has a certain muscular appearance with its chunky island and bold colour scheme, but it is none-the-less beautiful for it.

Key to the design brief was that the kitchen provided a striking focal point in the room, drawing attention towards the chef, whilst remaining as compact and ergonomically correct as possible.

To achieve this the two circular ends of the island are positioned off centre, enclosing the chef slightly and helping to ensure that the key elements of the kitchen: cooling, food preparation, cooking and washing are all within arms reach at all times. The fridge and dishwasher are integrated behind the tower unit doors to the left of the ovens.

Some key features of the scheme are:
РBespoke ceiling block which mirrors the shape of the island and houses feature lighting and Air Uno extractor with external motor.
– Polished steel plinths.
– Boiling water tap.
– Centrally positioned cup handles specially ground on their backs to allow them to follow the curves of the units.
– Silestone Lagoon worktop with moulded sink.
